Launchers are many and varied. I've created two types: the "Quick Connect Launcher" and the "Clark Cable Launcher".
The Quick Connect Launcher is easier to understand and easier to build. The Clark Cable Launcher is far superior in performance from an altitude and reliability (verticality) perspective. I'll discuss these in reverse order because I'll be updating more information on the Clark Cable Launcher.
I had to build and understand the Quick Connect Launcher first before I felt comfortable proceeding to the Clark Cable Launcher, however.
I was a bit handicapped in that I never saw a launcher in person or spoke with another rocketeer. That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.
I felt taking the gradual, incremental approach was prudent. Your mileage may vary.
Clark Cable Launcher - My first Clark Cable launcher that has served me well now for several years.
Portable Launcher - I was going on vacation to Florida, and I wanted to try out some rocket things. I needed a launcher that I could get to the beach!.
